Gupabal Station 구파발역 (line 3, exit 1). U-turn upon exit. The bus stop is about 20m ahead. Take Bus 34/704/8772 and get off at bus stop, Bukhansanseong (Fortress) 북한산성, 12 mins ride. After alighting the bus, walk in the direction as the bus going off. Turn right at the cross road into Daeseomun-gil and go straight. Turn right at the next cross street, walk straight and Starbucks The Bukhansan is on your left. 6 mins walk.
Starbucks The Bukhansan is a hidden gem with stunning view of Bukhansan Mountain peaks, located near the popular Bukhansan National Park in the city center of Seoul, South Korea.
Opened on 15 February 2023, Starbucks The Bukhansan offers a unique store experience that combines urbanity and nature. It spans across 2 floors with a rooftop terrace at a massive 1,100 sqm and 253 seats.
💡The Bukhansan store is the only fifth Starbucks store in Korea to have ‘The’ in front of its name. 'The' is only allowed for specialized Starbucks stores that are differentiated from regular stores in terms of space and interior.

Bukhansan Play is a hidden gem cafe surrounded in beautiful nature (forest, stream and mountain view) and yet it is conveniently located just across the red bridge. You can enjoy your drink and dessert out in the comfy chairs outdoor, full glass window indoor seats or open rooftop terrace.
💡Interestingly, when you cross the stream by walking across the red bridge to the cafe, you will be crossing from Seoul to Gyeonggi Province!

A trip to Starbucks The Bukhansan is not complete without taking a walk around its beautiful natural surrounding.
When you walk further along Daeseomun-gil, you will come to the entrance of the popular Bukhansan National Park and Bukhansanseong Park Information Center. This entrance is popular for hikers going for Bukhansan Mountain's highest peak, Baegundae Peak (836.5m).
💡Bukhansan National Park listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the 'Most Visited National Park per Unit Area'.
If you prefer something easy, you can either take the scenic Valley Trail (near observatory) or continue the walk along the Main Road (passing the information center). Both paths will meet at the intersection and rest area (with vending machines and toilets) uphill. The round trip takes about 1 - 1.5hrs.
Alternatively, you can cross the red bridge along Bukhancheon Stream to explore the cafes and restaurants on the other side of the stream.
There are also many hiking shops leading the park's entrance as well.
