The Songdo Cloud Trails (also known as Songdo Skywalk) is located on the eastern side (i.e. left side when facing the sea) of Songdo Beach, near the Songdo Bay Station of Busan Air Cruise.

Opened in 2015, the 365m long skywalk is built above the ocean with glass floor, giving visitors the thrilling experience of walking above the waves.

The trail is connected to Geobukseom Island (also known as Turtle Island) in the middle before extending out further out to the sea.

There are 2 statues on the small Turtle Island, remembering the local legend of a love story between the daughter of the sea dragon and a fisherman. The half turtle egg shell lover seat overlooking the ocean is another great photo zone.

From Songdo Skywalk, besides getting a nice panoramic view of the Busan Air Cruise Marine Cable Car operating across the ocean and the golden stretch of Songdo Beach, one can also spot the lighthouse and a restored diving platform in the middle of the sea.

Amnam Park boasts a beautiful coastal view is a rare natural ecology park in the city center. It was once a military protected area and entry is prohibited. It was only opened to the public in April 1996.

Amnam Park has a charming primeval forested landscape untouched by time with tree-lined sea view and magnificent cliffs of sedimentary rocks formed about 100 million years ago where traces of dinosaurs, including the dinosaur footprints and fossils were found.

The dinosaur era is also re-enacted at Dino Adventure with huge, vivid moving dinosaurs in Amnam Park.

Amnam Park, often overshadowed by the more popular Songdo Beach has in fact a lot to offer. Besides being the core place of connectivity to Busan Air Cruise Marine Cable CarSongdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge and Songdo Coastal Bolle-gil Trail, it is also the closest you can get to see Dudo Island via its forest walking trails. It is definitely worthwhile to spend 1-2 hours exploring the park, with history tracing back to the dinosaur days.

Amnam Park Healing Forest is probably one of the best hidden places in Busan. There are several highly recommended easy walking trails in the forest with suspension bridge, photo zones and observatories with beautiful views of the ocean and strangely shaped cliffs. It is a great place to take a break and immerse in the beauty of nature.

In the past, Songdo Beach was often given a miss by visitors for the likes of Haeundae Beach or Gwangalli Beach. Being the first public beach in Korea that opened in July 1913, it has lose its lustre with time.

However, much have changed in recent years to bring back tourists to the 800m long and 50m wide beach and its surrounding attractions.

Songdo Beach is reborn as a new hot spot of Busan. Together with Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge nearby, they have made it to the Top 100 must-visit tourist spots in Korea (2021-2022)!

In the last decades, Songdo Beach and surrounding area has undergone major restoration and transformation to bring back tourists with a sandy beach with clean water; refurbished Geobukseom Island (/Turtle Island) and connected to the new attraction, Songdo Cloud Trails; restored marine cable car and rebranded as Busan Air Cruise; rebuilt, relocated and renamed Songdo Yonggung Suspension Bridge.

💡The name "Songdo" comes about from its heavily forested pine trees in the olden days.

Songdo Beach offers various festivals throughout the year, including the Sunrise Festival in January, the Daljip Festival in February, the Summer Sea Festival and Hyeonin Song Festival in August, and the Mackerel Festival in October, as well as the Songdo National Marine Sports Competition.

Indeed, Songdo Beach, together with its diverse attractions closely linked to each other, its rich natural geological background, appealing night lights and local favourite food haunts make it a worthy destination to spend a day in Songdo on your holiday to Busan.

It is even worthwhile to consider spending overnight at one of its lovely sea-facing accommodation, slowing down your steps to fully immersed in the beauty nature has to offer at Songdo.
