Seoul Trick Eye Museum is the first and flagship Trick Eye Museum, opened in 2010 at the heart of culture and art, Hongdae in Seoul.
1. Trick Eye Museum
Trick Eye is shortened from ‘Trick of the eye’ and refers to a traditional art technique "Trompe-l’oeil" that turns 2D paintings into 3D images through the use of optical illusions.
Paintings on museum walls, floors and ceilings come alive!
Instead of merely viewing paintings of a typical art gallery, visitors are invited to step inside Trick Eye paintings and installations to be part of the original work, creating memorable photograph experiences with friends, family and loved ones.
There are 5 'worlds', namely World Masterpieces, Fantasy, Synchro Zone, Water World and Best of Trick Eye.
After Seoul Trick Eye Museum, visitors can also visit the popular Hongdae (Hongik University Street) nearby for its trendy shops and cafes; and immerse in the youthful atmosphere.
