BUSAN X the SKY - Admission Fees

Adult (age 13 & above): ₩27,000 / Child (age 3-12) & Senior (age 65 & above): ₩24,000 / Child (under 36 mths): free

  • Haeundae Beach. Walk along Haeundae Beach (on the left of the sea) till the tall blue 'Haeundae LCT The Sharp' complex. Observatory entrance is on the side facing the sea. 10 mins walk.

  • Haeundae Station (line 2, exit 3). Go straight towards Haeundae Beach. Turn left at the beach and walk toward the tall blue 'Haeundae LCT The Sharp'. 18 mins walk.

  • Haeundae Station (line 2, exit 7). Take bus# 39, 100, 141 or 200. 4 mins ride.

  • Along Haeundae Beach. Take bus# 1003 or 139. 3 mins ride.

Get off at Jung 1 Dong stop 중1동. Turn right onto the road just next to the bus stop and go straight towards the beach. At the beach front, turn left and walk along tall blue 'Haeundae LCT The Sharp' complex to the observatory entrance. 7 mins walk.

  • Jungdong Station (line 2, exit 7). Go straight along Jwadongsunhwan-ro and turn right at the junction to Haeundaehaebyeon-ro. At the next junction, turn left and walk along the road towards the tall blue 'Haeundae LCT The Sharp' complex. At the end of the road, turn right at the LCT complex and walk towards the beach. Turn right at the end of the road to the observatory entrance ahead. 17 mins walk.

BUSAN X the SKY is an observatory located on the top 98th, 99th and 100th floors of Haeundae LCT The Sharp - Landmark Tower in Haeundae, Busan.

 

Haeundae LCT The Sharp complex consists of 3 towers, the tallest Landmark Tower and 2 residential towers.

Since its completion in 2019, Haeundae LCT the Sharp has become the landmark of Haeundae's skyline with the following achievements:

  • Landmark Tower (411.6m) - Tallest building in Busan and 2nd tallest in Korea after Lotte World Tower (555.7m) in Seoul.

  • Residential Tower A (339.1m) and Residential Tower B (331.1m) - 3rd and 4th highest buildings in Korea respectively.

BUSAN X the SKY observatory was opened to the public in July 2020 with cafes, restaurant, art gallery and souvenir shop spread across its three floors.

From the sky observatory, visitors can enjoy best views of the ocean, mountain ranges and Busan's famous landmarks such as Haeundae Beach, Dongbaekseon Island, Haeundae Marine City, Gwangandaegyo Bridge and Haeundae Blueline Park (Haeundae Beach Train & Haeundae Sky Capsule).

💡Admission ticket to BUSAN X the SKY observatory is required to access any of its facilities, including restaurant and cafes.

1F - Entrance, Ticketing, Lockers & Lifts

The entrance to BUSAN X the SKY is located facing the sea at the extreme end of Haeundae Beach.

Facilities & Ticketing

On the first floor, there is a locker room recommended for visitors with heavy or bulky items as most people will generally take the stairs between floors at BUSAN X the SKY observatory.

 

There are self-ticketing machines or tickets can be brought from the in-person ticketing counters. Using the QR code on the admission ticket, you will do a self check-in at the entrance to the lift.

Sky Cruize (lift)

The lift will take you direct to 100th floor in about 56 seconds. The lift journey is entertaining with amazing visuals and sound effects as though you are floating on a hot air balloon.

Brilliant media art displays at different floors as the lift goes up.

The media art is extended to the ceiling of the lift for a complete visual effects as well.

100F - Art Gallery, Shocking Bridge & Line Light Isle

On arrival at the 100th floor, you are standing at 384m above ground. There are artworks displayed along the observatory.

Here are the different views of Busan through the glass windows at 100th floor.

Shocking Bridge

When you walk across the Shocking Bridge, you can look down directly to Haeundae Beach and the waves below through the glass floor.

Line Light Isle

On the stairs going down to 99th floor is BUSAN X the SKY's signature artwork, 'Line Light Isle' installation against the beautiful ocean backdrop by world-class artist, Park Sun-gi.

99F - Sky 99 Grill & Pasta, Sky Garden, Starbucks

Sky 99 Grill & Pasta (opening hours 11:00 - 20:50)

The sky restaurant is made famous as the filming location of a dining scene on episode one of the Korean drama, 'Now, We are Breaking Up' (2021-22), a romance drama starring Song Hye-kyo and Jang Yi-yong.

💡As the sky restaurant is very popular, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance especially if you wish for a window seat. You can purchase a package (where applicable) with discount on meals and observatory admission ticket at the 1st floor ticketing counter on arrival.

During the airing of the drama, the restaurant launched two special meal sets on the course enjoyed by the two lead characters. They are the 'First Meeting Set' (Smoked - Tenderloin Steak) and 'Destiny Set' (Oriental Sauce Pasta with Shrimp, Fillet Fish & Seaweed).

Sky Garden

Located near Sky 99 Grill & Pasta is the open-top Sky Garden and photo zone.

Starbucks

Opened in November 2020, the Starbucks at BUSAN X the SKY is the Highest Starbucks in the World, and definitely worth a visit. The view from Starbucks is the beautiful mountain range of Busan.

💡To get to Starbucks, you need to get to 98th floor and go up the flight of stairs to 99th floor.

98F - Blackup Coffee, X the GIFT, Sky Wave, Sky X Show & Sky Letter

Views from 98th Floor

This is probably the favourite floor for many visitors to BUSAN X the SKY. There are expansive view points, photo zones, well-decorated rest areas and evening light shows.

Blackup Coffee

This is the representative coffee shop in Busan.

 

A must-try at Blackup Coffee is their signature Iced Sea Salt Coffee topped with cream, only available at its Busan's branches. There are many seats available at this cafe and the view is unbeatable.

💡If you like the coffee here, check out their main store at Seomyeon in Busan (2 mins walk from Seomyeon Station, line 2, exit 2). They have a more comprehensive drink menu, cakes and pastries. Also, you can have your new found favourite 'Iced Sea Salt Coffee' served in a nice glass.

X the GIFT

Located next to Blackup Coffee is the souvenir shop, X the GIFT.

Sky Letter

At the Sky Letter section, you can write your message or perhaps fond memories of BUSAN X the SKY on their digital guestbook and it will be projected on the big screen for you.

Collector's Souvenir Medallion

For fans of souvenir medallion, you can get them from the vending machine. For those feeling a little rich, you can go for the Premium Medallion 24K Gold Plated Special Edition.

Unspoken Place with 'Best Private View'

Ironically, many visitors raved much about the scenic views from BUSAN X the SKY's toilets, with claims that the best city night shots can be taken from the privacy of the cubicles.

Lift Descends from 98th Floor to 1st Floor

On the lift descends to ground level, it will be a different but equally fascinating experience of the underwater world instead.

On nightfall, it is a totally different experience at BUSAN X the SKY observatory. Though you are unable to see the ocean during night time, you will get to see the brilliant Busan's city lights and two interesting light shows (i.e. Sky X Show and Sky Wave Show) at the observatory.

This is wonderful laser light show on the glass panel three times a day on nightfall.

Sky Wave Show (98th floor, show times 18:30 / 19:30 / 20:30)

On your way to Starbucks, look up to the ceiling for the interesting Sky Wave media art display. It runs 3 shows a day on nightfall too.

Also, running alongside the railway is Busan Green Railway walking trail. The trail offers spectacular coastal views with access to observatories, beaches, cafes and famous tourist attractions.

2 mins walk from BUSAN X the SKY entrance along the coastline is Haeundae Cruise Terminal. From the cruise terminal, you can take the sightseeing cruise, Haeundae Cruise on a day tour to Oryukdo Islets or night tour to Gwangandaegyo Bridge.
