Bukchon Hanok Village 북촌한옥마을

Oreno Ramen is a ramen specialty restaurant featured in Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand yearly since 2019. The restaurant serves only 2 types of ramen (i.e. spicy or non-spicy). You can order easily through its kiosk (pictures + English), select payment by card or cash and pass the order slip to the staff.

💡Listed on Michelin Guide is Oreno Ramen Main Branch 오레노라멘 본점, located between Hapjeong Station (line 2/6) and Sangsu Station (line 6) near Hongdae.

Sudal Cafe (/Cafe Soodal) is a hidden gem located within 2 mins walk from Anguk Station (exit 1). It is a lovely cafe with various attractive indoor seating areas and a small outdoor terrace. The hanok cafe roasts its own coffee beans and you can see the roastery room (staff entry only) in the cafe too. Sudal Cafe's menu includes Brewing Coffee, Signature, Ade, Seasonal Drinks, Non-Coffee (e.g. Strawberry Double Latte, Earl Grey Hot Chocolate), Smoothie, Coffee, Tea & Dessert. Their best sellers are Toffee Nut Cold Brew Latte, Grapefruit Black Tea and Brown Otter Croiffle. You can place your order easily at the counter (with English) or kiosk (with pictures).

If you would love to have a hearty American brunch, American Brunch Cafe is a must-visit! The cafe is located just next to Sudal Cafe. If you are coming from exit 1 of Anguk Station, you can walk along the main street (i.e. Yunposun-gil), turn right to the first alley and you will see the cafe ahead.

💡You can check current queue status and join the remote queue online via Catch Table (International Version) mobile app. Alternatively, you can register your queue via Catch Table kiosk onsite. On top, you can place your orders easily through the tablet (pictures + English) at your table.
💡The cafe is single-friendly too! There is a long counter table with tablets for ordering in front of every seat.

Calling all beer lovers to chill out at Kiwa Taproom Craft Beer! Set in a unique hanok atmosphere, this is probably the only craft beer pub in the area and they are popular for their snacks, dips, pan-roasted chicken and pasta too! You will order via tablet (pictures + English) at your table.

💡Wine by the bottle (sparking/white/red, ₩61-70K+) is available too. There is only 1 bottle option for each category though, good for sharing nonetheless.
💡Kiwa Taproom Craft Beer is located in an alley but there are signs to the pub. Should there be a queue, you just queue physically at its entrance.

Blue Bottle Samcheong Cafe is a 3-storey cafe with full glass-windows and nice zen interior. Orders are made at the counters on the 1F and pick up on the 2F. There are more seats on the 3F with gorgeous view of the mountain range afar and hanok rooftops.

💡There are limited seats on the 1F and 2F.

Hwangsaengga Kalguksu is a famous restaurant listed in Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand yearly since 2017. It is located next to Blue Bottle Samcheong Cafe, 4 mins walk from Gyeongbokgung Palace's side gate or 10 mins walk from Anguk Station (exit 1). The restaurant is famous for its handmade noodles and dumplings. Other menu items include cold soybean noodle soup (summer only), hot pot with mushrooms, pancakes and sliced boiled pork/beef with kimchi wraps.

💡You can expect a queue at this popular restaurant. Thankfully, the restaurant provides proper seats for people in the queue (i.e. sit in the order you arrived). Generally, the queue moved fast as the restaurant has 2 floors and you can take a well-deserved break from your walk too.
