Banpo Seorae Island (Seoraeseom) is a beautiful man-made island connected to Hangang Banpo Park by three pedestrian bridges.
This island provides good retreat from the busyness of the city, sitting on the benches under weeping willows (trees) or facing the beautiful Han River (Hangang) for a relaxing moment in life.
Spring Highlights - Canola Flower Field
Every spring in May, the Hangang Seoraeseom Canola Festival is held on this island when the canola flowers are in full bloom, spreading across the field in brilliant yellow.
Autumn Highlights - Buckwheat Flower Field
In October, the island is transformed into a sea of white when the buckwheat flowers are in full bloom. During this time, the Han River Seorae Island Buckwheat Flower Festival with activities like Photo Zones, Experience Programs and Performances is held on Seorae Island.
